Supplement Testing & Sport Certification

A concise review of the testing and quality documentation currently on file for Core Control, Sleep Control and Protein Control — and how that differs from NSF Certified for Sport®.

NSF Certified for Sport® statusTake Control Science products are not currently represented as NSF Certified for Sport®.

When an athlete, agent, clinician or retailer asks whether a product is “NSF certified,” the useful answer is not a vague claim about third-party testing. It is a clear description of which program applies, what documentation exists, and what that documentation does not establish. This page is our current answer.

01 / CERTIFICATION

We do not claim NSF sport certification

NSF Certified for Sport® is a specific certification program. Our current product documentation should not be treated as equivalent to that certification.

02 / TESTING

We do have product quality records

Our files include third-party laboratory documentation for a historical Core Control lot and manufacturer-issued quality records for Sleep Control and Protein Control.

03 / ATHLETE USE

Team and league requirements still control

If an athlete's organization requires a specific certification or lot-level verification, our existing records are not a substitute for that requirement.

What NSF Certified for Sport® means

NSF describes Certified for Sport® as a program that combines banned-substance testing with formulation and label review, production-facility and supplier inspections, and ongoing monitoring. NSF's database is the appropriate place to verify whether a product is currently certified. 1

USADA likewise recommends NSF Certified for Sport® as the third-party program best suited to athletes seeking to reduce supplement risk, while emphasizing that certification reduces risk rather than eliminating it. 2

A

For professional and drug-tested athletes

Use the standard required by your league, team and medical or performance staff. For NFL players, current NFL/NFLPA guidance places responsibility on the player for what is in the body, recommends checking recognized third-party certification resources and the specific product lot, and states that third-party certification does not excuse a positive test. 3

This page is documentation about Take Control Science quality processes; it is not league approval or athlete clearance.

Take Control Science Core Control supplement package

Core Control

Third-party Eurofins testing through Amazon's compliance pathway

A historical Core Control lot was submitted to Eurofins and received a final report dated March 20, 2025. The report documented a passing Amazon compliance outcome for the tested sample and included label/content review, microbiological and pathogen testing, heavy-metal testing, and a targeted screen for selected weight-management adulterants. 5

Scope note: this is independent laboratory evidence for the specific sample tested. It is historical lot documentation and is not evidence that every current Core Control lot is sport-certified.
Take Control Science Sleep Control supplement package

Sleep Control

Manufacturer-issued lot documentation

A manufacturer COA provided for a 2026 Sleep Control lot documents FTIR identity testing and microbiological testing against stated specifications, including yeast and mold and checks for E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus. The reported results met the listed specifications. 6

Scope note: this is manufacturer quality documentation. It is not an independent prohibited-substance screen and is not NSF Certified for Sport® certification.
Take Control Science Protein Control Vanilla whey protein isolate and creatine bag

Protein Control / Vanilla & Chocolate

Flavor-specific manufacturer COAs

Manufacturer-issued COAs are on file for Vanilla and Chocolate production lots manufactured April 29, 2026. They document the stated protein and creatine specifications and report microbiological and heavy-metal results against the manufacturer's listed specifications. 7

Scope note: the COAs state that assay and specification information is based on manufacturer or ingredient-manufacturer documentation. We therefore do not describe them as independent finished-product sport certification.

What it can support

Manufacturer COA
Manufacturer-reported identity, specification or contaminant checks for the documented batch.

NSF Certified for Sport® status or league approval.
NSF Certified for Sport®
A distinct sport-certification program with banned-substance testing and ongoing program requirements.
A 100% guarantee against supplement risk or a positive drug test.

What we tell athletes and teams

If your team, league or governing body requires NSF Certified for Sport® or another named sport-certification program, our current documentation should not be used as a substitute for that requirement. We would rather give you a precise answer than overstate what a COA or marketplace-compliance test means.

If your medical, nutrition or performance staff wants to review documentation for a specific Take Control Science product, flavor or lot, we can provide available records when permitted by supplier and manufacturer confidentiality terms.
