Chromium is an essential trace mineral involved in normal macronutrient metabolism. Supplemental chromium has been studied extensively in relation to glucose metabolism, insulin and glycemic-control markers.

Core Control provides 200 mcg of chromium as chromium nicotinate GTF per serving.

Chromium research has produced variable results across different populations and chromium forms. Some meta-analyses in people with type 2 diabetes report changes in glycemic markers, while earlier research found little or no effect in people without diabetes. These studies do not evaluate the finished Core Control formula.

150 mg Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) per serving

Alpha-lipoic acid is a naturally occurring compound involved in mitochondrial energy metabolism and cellular antioxidant systems. Supplemental ALA has been evaluated in human research examining insulin, insulin resistance, fasting glucose, HbA1c and other metabolic markers.

Clinical studies use a range of ALA doses, with many trials evaluating amounts greater than the 150 mg included in Core Control. 10 mg BioPerine® · Black Pepper Fruit Extract

BioPerine® is a branded black pepper fruit extract. Piperine, a naturally occurring constituent of black pepper, has been investigated in pharmacokinetic research for its potential to alter the absorption or availability of certain compounds.

Effects on absorption are compound-specific and should not be assumed for every ingredient. Because piperine may also affect the handling of certain medications, individuals taking medication should discuss supplement use with a qualified healthcare professional.

Benfotiamine · P5P · L-5-MTHF · Methylcobalamin

Core Control includes several B vitamins in specific forms: 5 mg thiamin as benfotiamine, 8.5 mg vitamin B6 as pyridoxal 5'-phosphate, 1,333 mcg DFE folate as L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate and 1,000 mcg vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin.

B vitamins participate in normal cellular and energy metabolism through distinct biochemical pathways. Their inclusion provides nutritional support alongside the botanical, mineral and metabolic ingredients in the formula.

The presence of these nutrients in Core Control should not be interpreted to mean that high supplemental intake produces additional metabolic benefits in individuals who already have adequate nutritional status.
